If you have any kind of ambition of winning at roulette you will need some kind of a plan. You can’t just start placing bets all over the table because they definitely won’t yield anything more than short term results.

Instead, you will need to have in place a roulette system that has been put into practise and is well thought out. I will now look at what your system will need if it is to be successful at all.

First of all it needs to have a staking plan that is safe and won’t cost you too much if you lose. For example, the Martingale system involves you doubling your bets after every loss and this isn’t safe at all. You will lose everything if you incur a few losses in a row with this system.

Instead, you need to develop something much safer, like Fibonacci style progression for example. Another thing your system needs is some kind of logic behind the bets placed so that you know when you should and shouldn’t be placing bets.

However, even if you had this safe plan, you still need to know when you should and shouldn’t be betting or else it will not work. Some people may view waiting for betting opportunities as a fallacy, but at least you will understand what you are doing well enough.

You also need to bear in mind that you will only ever be betting a small amount, any time at all. It is a lot easier to accept one losing run and start again if it is a small amount that you lose.

You also need to accept the fact that roulette has a house edge and while systems can help you, they can’t overcome it. The risk of losing will always be there and you should therefore only bet what you can afford to lose and nothing more.
