Whenever you start to play any sort of gambling game, especially blackjack, you should always have some sort of strategy to use. If you simply guess or just make random choices when you play, you will more than likely lose.
There’s more strategy involved with blackjack than any other casino game because you actually need to use two at the same time. One of the strategies is deciding how much to bet – the wagering side, and then of course there is deciding how to bet, which is the decision making side.
Mastering both sides of blackjack strategy can be difficult which is why I recommend playing free blackjack to get some practice in. It can be easy to master the decision making end to things because you can get strategy cards off the internet that contain this info.
These cards are easy tables that for each card combination can advise you of the best action to take, making it easy for you. They are completely free to get hold of as well, there is no need to hand money over for one at all.
It can get a bit trickier on the wagering side of things because all of them have their ups and downs, none of them are guaranteed. Flat betting is one simple method, this is where for each hand, you continue to bet the same amount.
This method is the safest, but the issue is that you will need to be winning more hands than what you lose in order to make a profit, this happening is unlikely. To try and get around this you can use a progressive system like the Martingale which is much riskier but it prolongs your winning runs.
In order to use the Martingale, you will begin by betting small, then you will need to double your bet after each loss that you incur. You repeat this process over and over until you get a win, at which point you go back to betting a small amount.
And when you do win, you will always end up in profit, so looking at it this way, the Martingale is a good strategy. The problem with it is that when you experience a long losing run you will lose a huge amount of money all in one go. There is also the issue of table limits to deal with, which will prevent you from endlessly doubling your bets. Hence the reason why I like free blackjack so much, it removes the risk but enables you to try all the different possibilities out.
