This, though, is not a gambling trick. Rather, it involves different betting systems that can help you structure your gameplay. Among these betting systems are: Martingale System, Labouchere System and D’ Alembert System.

Of all the betting systems, the Martingale system also named as doubling up or progression system is the most widely known. Using this system, when a player loses on a bet, he doubles his bet and does the same every time until he wins where he will revert back to his original bet, and again will do the same in every win. Such is based on the proposition that whatever he wins can compensate for the net losses he experienced on the earlier bets made.

Another betting system, the Labouchere or the cancellation system involves determining beforehand how much a player wants to win. Then he identifies a set of positive numbers which when added will total the desired amount. When he places a bet, he stakes an amount equal to the sum of the first and last numbers. If he wins, he cancels out these numbers, otherwise, he adds the number to the end of the list.

Another betting system, the D’Alembert system, also called pyramid system is almost the same as the Martingale process. This is because it involves subtracting or adding a unit to the next bet depending on the outcome of the previous bet. If a bettor loses, he adds one unit to the bet and when he wins, he subtracts a unit from the last bet.

There are other betting systems that you can use if you want to give yourself an edge in roulette. The Fibonacci Method and Oscar’s Grind Method are included in these. But whichever you opt to as a strategy, you have to keep in mind that roulette is a game of chance as it is impossible to determine where the ball will go. And as the words of Albert Einstein go, “The only way to beat Roulette is to steal the money when the dealer’s not looking.”
